Vishesh Gupta

I completed my Bachelors from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, majoring in Electrical Engineering. In my undergrad years, I've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Adrien Gruson, Dr. Subodh Kumar and Dr. Kaushal Kumar Bhagat. At the end of my Bachelor studies, I also had the privilege of interning at Dr. Gurprit Singh's Sampling and Rendering Group at MPI-Informatiks.

Currently I am working with Dr. Binh-Son Hua on generative rendering - utilizing the broad pixel-space knowledge of 2D image-based diffusion models and applying them to accelerate and control our 3D image renderers.

Research

My research interests lie in image and video generation, especially at the intersection of rendering and generative AI. I’m excited by approaches that bring together the control and physical grounding of graphics with the realism and flexibility of generative models. I also want to explore simulation-based neural architectures and work on differentiable simulators as new ways to think about learning and generation.

Noise Space Manipulation for Video Generation
Vishesh Gupta, Jente Vandersanden, Gurprit Singh, Hans-Peter Siedel • MPI-INF Internship Report • 2024 - 2025

We explore noise-space manipulation in generative modelling and use it as a light weight alternative for video generation, enabling temporally coherent generation via frozen image models.
